LOCATION DETAILS: The historic Sun Building, home to the Bremerton/Kitsap Sun newspaper since the 1950s, is located in the heart of Bremerton, half a block west of Pacific Avenue, at 545 5th Street.
The Sun Building is conveniently located a short, pleasant walk from the Bremerton Transportation Center, which serves the Kitsap Fast Ferry and Washington State Ferries runs between Seattle and Bremerton, as well as commuter ferries and buses throughout the Kitsap Peninsula.
BUS: If you’re heading to or from the ferry terminal, the #20 Westside bus will bring you to Burwell Street & Pacific Avenue, about blocks from my office. My office is a short walk from there. FERRY: The Kitsap Fast Ferry and Port Orchard Foot Ferry (both walk-on only), as well as Washington State Ferries (walk-on and automobiles) operate weekday and/or weekend service to the Bremerton Transportation Center.
DRIVING/PARKING: As for parking, there is quite a bit available! Convenient, unmetered street parking is available in front of the building if you’ll be here for two hours or less. Please refer to helpful driving and parking information on the City of Bremerton website.
